Led by architect/curator Emmett Scanlon, photographer Aisling McCoy and made in collaboration with graphic designer Paul Guinan, Home On The Grange is a community-based public art project that aims to harness our latent but often unacknowledged creativity in homemaking. Even in seemingly identical houses, people occupy, use and creatively appropriate the places they inhabit with an often modest but typically sophisticated enthusiasm and they do this over time and on a daily basis. This process reflects their individual histories and personalities but is rarely discussed in this way.

The 1916 Centenary will be the focus of this year’s curated programme. The architecture of Dublin is a reflection of our culture. The buildings we design and build today, and those we protect, tell a story of Dublin’s development. The buildings on our city’s streetscape tell a very direct and inspiring story about the history of our capital, the past lives of its inhabitants and our aspirations for the future.
