The IAF, in partnership Donegal County Council Cultural Services Public Art Program, Earagail Arts Festival and Coillte, is delighted to present a competition for the commission of an innovative installation for Ards Forest Park, Creeslough, Co. Donegal for July 2014.
ArtScape Donegal @ Ards Forest Park is intended to create a cultural focal point in an existing area of natural beauty to inspire and excite the public and attract cultural tourists. The aim of this commission is to realise the design and build of an innovative structure at Ards Forest Park, demonstrating the exciting potential of asking architects to respond to the invitation to create a unique intervention in the natural landscape.
Ards Forest Park is an exceptionally rich and varied landscape of forest, beaches, sand dunes, lakes and marsh. Extensive mapped walks and trails enable visitors to spend hours exploring the park, which is owned and managed by Coillte.
