The new restrictions on Dublin announced last Friday as part of the Government’s Living with COVID-19 plan, will sadly mean that this year our Festival will not include on-site building tours.
We realise that this will be disappointing – the joy of Open House lies in exploring buildings that are ordinarily inaccessible to the public and learning the stories of our city’s built environment through architectural tours provided by expert guides.
However, we have worked hard to produce a programme more diverse than ever, a reimagined Open House Dublin, with an itinerary of content created for you in this extraordinary year.
Watch the film premiere of ten commissioned documentary shorts, tune in to a lively topical debate, join a variety of digital tours that peek into homes designed by our best architects, get inspired by articles from the inaugural OHD Journal, bring the family to a Zoom workshop, build a paper model of your city, take a self-guided walk to uncover the remarkable in your everyday.
See what we have planned over at www.openhousedublin.com and join us for The Extraordinary Ordinary online and on site, from 8–11 October.
