This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Open House Dublin volunteers to volunteer with partner festivals taking place in Bilbao and Essen on 7-8 October.
Open House Europe is a new collaborative project between 12 European cultural organisations, with a shared vision of promoting architecture as a positive force for change. As a part of the project, we hope to promote a more inclusive discussion about architecture and emphasise its role in addressing important social and environmental issues.
As a member of Open House Europe, the Irish Architecture Foundation can send one experienced Open House Dublin volunteer to assist at each of the following festivals:
Do you love exploring and helping other people engage with unique architecture and the built environment, from buildings to parks, and from heritage to contemporary structures? Have you volunteered for Open House Dublin in the past? Would you like to experience another European city’s architecture for free, make new connections, and deepen your understanding of how architecture can have a positive impact on tackling social and environmental issues? And are you available on 6-8 October?
If you answered yes to these questions, then click here to apply!
It’s as simple as filling out a form by the deadline: Monday 26 June.
Successful applicants (1 per festival) will be notified as soon as possible, followed by a trilateral agreement with full terms and conditions.
This is the second of 6 Volunteer Exchanges through Open House Europe, with exchanges taking place every spring and autumn until 2025 (inclusive). There will be 4 more opportunities for interested OHD volunteers to apply.
The partner cities will be different in each exchange.
Follow Open House Dublin on Instagram or subscribe to the IAF newsletter to ensure you hear about future Volunteer Exchange opportunities!
Open House Europe is coordinated by Architektūros fondas in Vilnius and is co-funded by the European Union through Creative Europe.
