From the Hospital to the Castle Moving (through) walls: A creative and critical exploration of our spaces and places
Dublin Castle - State Apartments, Castle Street, Dublin 2, Ireland
31.01.19
3pm to 4.45pm
MISA Creative Life Centre and Dublin Castle, OPW
In this series, participants will explore the histories of their own area, of the buildings where they dwell and of the journeys that connect them – journeys in space and in time. Led by multidisciplinary practitioners, we will use participatory and artistic methods, will work on our feet (literally or not) and will think off our feet, we will invade buildings with our senses, we will play with philosophical enquiry and will dare to question. We will interrogate our environment and share our diverse perspectives. Using the spaces, expertise and collections of Dublin Castle, MISA and St James Hospital, we will create new habitats for history, philosophy and art, ultimately reconnecting with our own individual histories through the use of different spaces and places as we age.
REMINDER- final workshop of the series:
The art & heritage perspective, Art workshop Riff and improvise with the visual language of the Castle and its surroundings
