While you’re exploring the city, walking its streets and poking inside its buildings you should keep an eye out for that winning shot. Post your photos on Instagram, tag your entries with #openhousedublin and mention @irisharchitecturefoundation and you’ll be in the running! The theme for this year’s festival is The City As a Stage, presenting the idea that architecture provides the backdrop for our daily lives and that within our city we are all active players, so keep that in mind while you shoot.

We have three great prizes up for grabs for the best photos as selected by our jury. The jury, a mix of architects and photographers, will select the top three images and we will announce the winners in early November. The deadline for all entries is 22 October at midnight, and the prizes are… *drumroll*…

1st prize: tickets and drinks for two at one of the opening movies at the beautiful, soon to be reopened Stella Theatre in Rathmines
2nd prize: a year’s membership for the Irish Architecture Foundation
3rd prize: a hardback copy of The building site in eighteenth-century Ireland by Arthur Gibney, edited by Livia Hurley and Edward McParland
