This evening’s speakers are Margaret Keane, Senior Archaeologist with the National Monuments Service, Department of Arts, Heritage & the Gaeltacht and Bill Hastings, Director of ARC Consultants, a multi- disciplined consultancy working in the area of environmental design and development.

Margaret Keane will be discussing the role of the department in assessing draft County Development Plans in relation to impacts on archaeology.

Bill Hastings will be speaking about the methodology developed during a project undertaken to evaluate the ‘zone of visual influence’ of the Rock of Cashel and how this methodology can be a useful tool for conducting similar evaluations on historic monuments.
