My Architecture Design Journal

My Architecture Design Journal is a resource created by the Irish Architecture Foundation for 14-16 year-olds, based on a specially designed Student Design Journal.

It provides a space for students to explore architecture through creative projects. It also enables students to learn about how buildings are designed by experiencing the design process first-hand and is supported by a Teacher’s Handbook.

My Architecture Design Journal was inspired by A Space for Learning, the Irish Architecture Foundation’s architects-in-schools programme; a competition to propose new ideas for school designs for 90 schools across Ireland in 2010. 10 winning teams of Transition Year students and architects were selected to take part in an exhibition that toured Ireland in 2011.

Young people and architects from all over Ireland have been posting project updates on our blog www.mydesignjournal.ie.
