Now in its ninth year, in 2021 New Now Next takes place online and virtually for the second time, enabling a wider domestic and international audience to connect with the events. 

The series finale happened on 25 November 2021 with a talk by Anne Lacaton & Jean-Phillippe Vassal, moderated by Yvonne Farrell & Shelley McNamara.

Lacaton & Vassal were awarded the prestigious Pritzker Prize in March 2021 in recognition of the outstanding new buildings and transformative social and cultural projects they have undertaken since establishing their practice in Paris in 1987. This lecture is a rare opportunity to hear them reflect on their diverse and internationally acclaimed portfolio of work.

Shelley McNamara and Yvonne Farrell, the 2020 Pritzker Prize laureates and recent RIBA Stirling Prize recipients from Grafton Architects in Dublin, joined the virtual stage to introduce their prize-winning counterparts and lead the final discussion.
