The Academy of Urbanism’s 7th Annual Congress is to be held in Derry~Londonderry, winner of the Academy’s Great Town Award 2012 and also the UK City of Culture 2013. The theme of this year’s Congress is The Resilient City and will run from 9th-11th May. Derry’s exceptional story will be used to explore the robustness and adaptability of place through themes of heritage and culture, community and social capital, economic regeneration and urban design.

The Congress will draw an international audience and will engage directly with the host community in purposeful inquiry through interactive workshops that will share learning and leave a lasting legacy.
