This spring the Irish Architecture Foundation sent three experienced Open House Dublin volunteers on exchange to sister festivals in the Open House Europe network.
On 17 May 2024, three of our experienced Open House Dublin volunteers set off on the Open House Europe Volunteer Exchange to lend their skills, knowledge and enthusiasm to sister festivals taking place that weekend.
Anne Gormley joined Open House Brno, while Laura Heskin went to Open House Prague and Rory Mahon to Open House Vilnius.
On their return, we asked them about their experience and if they have any advice for Open House Dublin volunteers applying for next year’s exchanges. Head over to the Open House Dublin Journal to read their replies! You can also find more photos from their travels on the @openhousedublin Instagram grid and highlights.
This year’s Open House Europe Volunteer Exchange will continue in October, when Rae Wnuk will head to Open House Tallinn and Aishwarika Behera to Open House Stockholm.
