Details have been confirmed of Thomas Heatherwick’s exhibition at the V&A next year. The designer will showcase his talents at the London museum between 31 May and 30 September 2012. The exhibition will include two decades of projects covering more than 150 objects, including the original seed-tipped rod from the UK Pavilion at last year’s world Expo in Shanghai. V&A director Martin Roth said: “We are delighted to be showing the first solo exhibition of the work of Thomas Heatherwick and his studio.” The exhibition will designed by Heatherwick and will include engineering, transport, urban planning, furniture and sculpture as well as architecture.
