Airbnb & Irish Architecture Foundation have been shortlisted for the Best Mid-Size Sponsorship – over €15,000 – €50,000 value, for their partnership on ‘Open House Dublin’
Open House Dublin, now in it’s 13th year has been nominated for their partnership for Airbnb. 2017 was the third year running, the (IAF) partnered with Airbnb as well as a number of key organisations and businesses to deliver on 2017’s theme of ‘The City as a Stage’. Last year saw Open House Dublin’s largest programme with over 150 events and tours, resulting in just over 33,000 visits during the October weekend.
2018 saw a huge jump in nominations to the Allianz Business to Arts Awards, with a 25% increase on previous record levels. Nominations came from all over the country, from organisations of all sizes, sectors and scopes. The nominations celebrated outstanding relationships and partnerships right across the artforms, and featured diverse engagement programmes for communities, staff and education.
Open House Dublin is Ireland’s largest architecture festival, inviting all citizens to explore their city. It works through a simple but powerful idea: showcasing outstanding architecture for everyone to experience. Buildings that aren’t usually accessible to the public and buildings of architectural merit open their doors for one weekend, with architectural tours provided by expert guides.
IAF also run Open House Plus which includes walking, cycling and bus tours, exhibitions and performances and Open House Junior an exciting mix of workshops and tours will provide entertainment and stimulating experiences for all ages, from toddlers to teenagers.
2018’s Open House Dublin programme will be announced in the coming months, with the programme scheduled to run October Fri 12 – Sun 14 .
