Dublin-based Heneghan Peng Architects has won an international competition to design the Palestinian Museum at Birzeit University, having beaten Edward Cullinan, Henning Larsen, Jordanian practice Consolidated Consultants and Canadian practice Moriyama & Teshima. The museum, which will explore different aspects of Palestinian history and culture, will be constructed in two phases, the first of which is due to be completed by 2014.
