Our inaugural exhibition ‘Marion Mahony Griffin: Discuss‘ is arriving in the IAF’s exhibition space. This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the life, work and impact of Marion Mahony Griffin through the lenses of feminism, collaboration, environment and drawing.
Seeking to channel Mahony Griffin a studio/gallery/domestic/work environment, the room will be organised not as a passive exhibition experience, but rather as a stimulating discursive environment. Devised as an open-ended, ongoing exploration, the exhibition presents a rich tapestry of interpretations of Mahony Griffin for a contemporary Irish audience.
The exhibition is being launched on the evening of Thursday 4th of July and runs until Saturday the 27th of July. It is open daily from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
We need volunteers to be involved with the exhibition during its lifespan. Volunteering for invigilating work during this exhibition is a great opportunity to get stuck into life in a city centre, and meet people who share your interest in architecture, drawing, environment and urbanism!!
To volunteer and be eligible for those CPD points just fill in our handy form from the link below or contact Sarah and Brian via email firstname.lastname@example.org with any queries.
We’re also partnering with The National Museum of Ireland for our symposium – Marion Mahony Griffin: Symposium which is available to book now.
