2021 Programme Learning Online event

Architecture Connects

27.01.21

In collaboration with Arts in Junior Cycle, the IAF are pleased to present an opportunity for teachers of all subject disciplines to engage in a series of online community of practice workshops with professional architects.

Teachers from diverse subject areas will work collaboratively in small groups with an architect where they will explore and experience the design process through one of the following themes: Home, Heritage, Public Space, Sustainability or Universal Design. The small group setting will allow teachers to collaborate and design, while also providing the opportunity for self-directed learning and exploration.

The series of workshops start with an introductory online preparation and planning workshop for successful participants on Thursday, 4th February 2021, 5.00pm to 6.00pm.

The introductory workshop will be facilitated by Arts in Junior Cycle and the IAF, where successful participants will meet the architect and their group.

Each group will arrange to meet online on four further occasions, between February 2021 and May 2021, at times negotiated by the group. A reflection event for all participants will take place on Thursday 6th May 2021. Places are limited.
