Esther Gerrard, Green Spaces and Urban Acupuncture

VOL 8
July 22, 2015
@ The Sugar Club
Ice cream, rainbows, sandy sandwiches, socks and sandals. Whatever it is, get your summer buzz on with our summer edition of Pecha Kucha Dublin with Totally Dublin. Our spring event at The Grand Social was packed out of it so we’re moving to a bigger venue, The Sugar Club.

This time around, our speakers will be touching on topics like exploration, the outdoors, public space and the environment. Nothing major, then.

Our punmaster-in-residence Ciaran O’Gaora (Zero-G) was mastering ceremonies again and like last time around, we kept your cogs oiled with some complimentary Peroni.

Esther Gerrard, a Landscape Architect, Bloom Fringe Festival Curator and project manager in Construction and Healthcare reform talks about green spaces and urban acupuncture.

‘I’m fascinated about liveability in cities and our use and greening of public spaces and my work is inspired by my passionate belief that cities are dynamic, spontaneous and great places and that they can provide for the multitude of needs and possibilities which we explore in the Bloomfringe festival.’
