RENT

17.02.23

Join the discussion. No conversation about current housing issues in Ireland would be complete without addressing the precarious rental sector. People of all ages and nationalities living in Ireland, whether  students, workers, homemakers or retired, single, married or in families, are affected by the rental market. On the closing night of Housing Unlocked, join us for a participatory event on this urgent topic, chaired by Dr Rory Hearne. We can’t solve the rental crisis, but we can offer a platform for discussion. We will not ignore the impact of insecure tenancies on people’s lives. We have to speak up.

Share your story. Are you willing to share your lived experience of renting a home in Ireland? We are offering 5 people €50 for a short contribution to the discussion. Please complete this form by 9 February and we will contact you.

Have the last word. Following the talks, you will all have the opportunity to reflect and respond individually in writing, using prompts from IAF Communications Officer, Dr Felicity Maxwell. RENT is the final event in Housing Unlocked – your contributions are the last word. Pin them up, read each other’s, and build momentum for change.
