Join the Irish Architecture Foundation on a whistle stop tour of four incredible Dublin exhibition spaces as part of Heritage Week and the European Year of Culture. Taking our cue from the Relatively Speaking exhibition tours already in place for some of these organisations, we look at the impact of architecture on exhibition making.
Including the recently rejuvenated City Assembly House, stopping at 40 year old Douglas Hyde Gallery, the shirt factory now known as Temple Bar Gallery & Studios and the purpose built Project Arts Centre, we will look at the impact of architecture on arts exhibitions. Meeting with the Irish Georgian Society, Georgina Jackson, Cliodhna Shaffrey and Lívia Páldi, each location will provide a brief insight into the opportunities and pitfalls of working in dynamic exhibition spaces.
Taking place on Thursday 23rd we will meet at 2pm and the tour should last approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes with some walking from location to location in Dublin City Centre. Places are limited and booking is necessary.
