Nimble Spaces Seminar and workshop ticket: €15 (including lunch & refreshments)
Nimble Spaces is an enabling design process that supports adults with an intellectual disability to work creatively with artists and architects through design collaborations and workshops. This year long series of design collaborations and workshops is led by Paul Bokslag (visual artist), Rhona Byrne (visual artist), LiD Architecture, MEME Architecture, Jennie Moran (visual artist), Ríonach Ní Néill (choreographer) and Studio Weave (architects).
The seminar and workshop day will bring together a number of project participants, and further colleagues in inclusive art and theatre practices to discuss collaborative processes and share Nimble Spaces research through conversations and four afternoon creative workshops.
Nimble Spaces Inclusive Workshop and Seminar Day:
• Discussions with Francis Casey & Paul Bokslag, Ríonach Ní Néill, Charlene Kelly, Kieran Coppinger & Petal Pilley (Blue Teapot Theatre Company) with Medb Lambert, Shane Byrne & Rosie Lynch, Evelyn Morrissey & John Conway.
• Workshops led by Meme Architects, choreographer Ríonach Ní Néill, visual artists Paul Bokslag and Etaoin Holahan.
• Contributions from Studio Weave and LiD Architecture.
• Seminar spatial design by artist Rhona Byrne.
Nimble Spaces Seminar & Workshop Day is happening on the occasion of KCAT Art & Study Centre’s 15th Birthday, you are invited to join us to celebrate at Fennelly’s from 8pm.
Nimble Spaces is coordinated by curators Rosie Lynch and Hollie Kearns with the support of Patrick Lydon. Nimble Spaces has been developed by Commonage in association with Camphill Communities of Ireland and is funded through an Arts Council Arts Participation Project Award.
