Housing Unlocked exhibition talks: House it all work?

Housing Unlocked is an exhibition of eight ideas developed by architect-led teams who are passionate about improving housing.

In the House it all work? lunchtime talks, each team in the Housing Unlocked exhibition will demonstrate how their proposal will unlock the housing challenge.

These talks take place in person only, and each session includes a Q&A, allowing for a lively discussion.

All talks are free, but booking is required.

House it all work? Eco:Cube – A Modular Living Concept. 28 October, 1-2pm. Reserve a ticket.

House it all work? Model Housing – Urban Horticulture. 4 November, 1-2pm. Reserve a ticket.

House it all work? Thirty-Three Churches. 11 November, 1-2pm. Reserve a ticket.

House it all work? The Working-Home. 18 November, 1-2pm. Reserve a ticket.

House it all work? Start Spreading the Mews. 25 November, 1-2pm. Reserve a ticket.

House it all work? Building Societies. 2 December, 1-2pm. Reserve a ticket.

House it all work? Home4Community. 9 December, 1-2pm. Reserve a ticket.

House it all work? Join the Dots. 20 January, 1-2pm. Reserve a ticket.

 

These talks are part of a larger programme of Housing Unlocked events all taking place at the Science Gallery Dublin.

 

Visitor information:

 

The gallery is open Tuesday-Friday 12-5pm, Saturday 2-5pm until 17 Febuary 2023 (but closed for the holidays 18 December-2 January).

Admission is free, and no booking is required to see the Housing Unlocked and Workers’ Villages exhibitions.

Free, drop-in tours take place every Tuesday and Thursday, 1pm and Saturday, 3pm.

Accessibility: Entrance is at ground level. Some displays are on the first floor. Please ask the gallery attendants to guide you to the lift if needed. Audio recordings of Housing Unlocked exhibition panel text are available via QR codes on the panels and on the exhibition webpages for the displays.

 

Housing Unlocked is a partnership between the Irish Architecture Foundation and The Housing Agency, sponsored by The Housing Agency with additional support from The Arts Council, The Land Development Agency, the New European Bauhaus, and venue partner Trinity College Dublin. The exhibition and public programme are curated by the Irish Architecture Foundation.
