Leitrim is the place to be this August. The Green Door Weekend will take place from 27 to 29 August for its third year. Our director Nathalie Weadick will chair a debate titled ‘Thinking and Doing in the Rural’ on Friday 28 August kicking off the weekend festival of rural architecture and design.
Over the weekend there will be various talks from rainwater harvesting to artist talk, workshops, exhibitions, interactive documentaries and tours of Leitrim’s architecture. For the weekend the doors will be open to Crest Passive Pavilion, Dominic Stevens’ Mimetic House, Dominic Stevens’ own home built for €25,000, a renovated 18th century stone and mud cottage and so much more.
