National Architects in Schools Initiative

Providing Transition Year students with first-hand experience of the design process under the guidance of architects and architectural graduates nationwide, the National Architects in Schools Initiative was devised and is delivered by the Irish Architecture Foundation.

Currently in 14 counties across Ireland, including Donegal, Dublin, Mayo, Galway, Leitrim, Longford, Roscommon, Kerry, Cork, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford, the National Architects in Schools Initiative is open to all schools interested in participating, and the selection is made on an annual basis via an open call for applications.

This initiative is supported by the Arts Council, the Department of Education and Skills, and the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs.
