The Paper Tube Project in Darc Space consists of a large paper-tube web like sculpture which fills the entire gallery. Using cardboard as a primary building material, Marcin Wojcik, Kevin Coffey and Alan O’Farrell of DIT Dublin School of Architecture, have designed and manufactured this installation using digital processes to illustrate the possibilities of parametric modelling and design. This emergent technology promises to provide economic, smart and bespoke architecture and engineering.
The exhibition was opened by Alan Dempsey of NEX Architecture and runs until Easter.
