Now in their 29th year, the RIAI Architecture Awards are the most prestigious architecture awards scheme in Ireland. The RIAI Architecture Awards promote the value that Irish architecture brings to society, celebrate excellence in Irish architectural design and recognise client ambition. In 2018 the RIAI introduces new features to further enhance the RIAI Architecture Awards:

Jury visits to projects prior to shortlisting.

Each category may have more than one award.

In the Commercial and Fit-Out categories, the jury may make separate awards for projects of different scales and complexity.

Free entry for the special awards in Sustainability and Universal Design. All projects are eligible but the relevant additional information must be supplied to demonstrate excellence in the areas of sustainability in universal design.
