IAF Collective: Takeover

11.06.18-15.06.18

IAF Collective: Takeover is a weeklong creative project for 15-18 year olds presented by the Irish Architecture from Monday 11 to Friday 15 June. Facilitated by artist Mary-Ruth Walsh and architect and filmmaker Stephen Mulhall, this project will see a group of young people aged 15-18 use IAF HQ in 15 Bachelor’s Walk as a base and studio space to interpret the city. The project will draw from the IAF’s immediate city centre surrounds as an opportunity to explore, map and reimagine our built environment through workshops, excursions, presentations, drawing, making, photography and film sessions. The participants will then present their creative outcomes, be they drawings, photographs, collages, films or happenings on 23 June in the IAF’s gallery and auditorium. IAF Collective: Takeover is part of Cruinniú na nÓg, a national day of creativity for children and young people. It is funded by Dublin City Council.

Want to take part? If you know a 15-18 year old who would like to take part, free of charge, please contact communications@architecturefoundation.ie for more information and to sign up.
